Summary

A collection of texts relating to canon law. The Old English items comprise:

  • pp. 72-83: Directions for a confessor, as in Brussels, Bibliothèque Royale, 8558-63 beginning 'Ðæt sceal geþencan se þe bið manna sawla læce';
  • pp. 222-27: The set of laws known as IV Eadgar, which according to Ker 1957 agrees closely with that of Nero E. i;
  • pp. 30-112: Glosses in several hands to the Ecgberht Poenitentiale and the Penitentiale Theodori (Ker 1957, pp. 92-94). From the script Ker 1957 suggests that the manuscript was copied in Worcester. A s. xi2 hand writes 'domno presule uulstano presente'. Ker 1957 notes: ' the reference must be to Bishop Wulfstan II (1062-95)'.
